Russian Su-34 fighter-bombers in their export version have been delivered to a foreign buyer for the first time. This was announced by the head of Rosoboronexport, Alexander Mikheev.

According to him, the customer has already provided initial feedback — the reviews are positive.

Previously, export deliveries of Su-34 were not officially reported; this is the first sale of 4th-generation combat vehicles abroad.

Over the past year, photos of the “duckling” in an unusual orange color have gone viral online, leading to speculations about the transfer of “34s” to Algeria.

Analysts at the International Institute for Strategic Studies estimated that the Russian Aerospace Forces have at least 130 Su-34s. Another estimate was put forward by the foreign publication Military Watch Magazine — about 200 Su-34s.

It should be noted that the Russian side has not officially published information on the number of aircraft in the army's air wing.
