The state is preparing to sell the assets of Lesta, the developer of "Mir Tankov" (World of Tanks), "Mir Korabely" (World of Warships), and "Tanki Blitz" (World of Tanks Blitz). According to Deputy Head of the Ministry of Finance Alexey Moiseev, there is already an interested private investor, and they expect to close the deal in September–October 2026.

The exact price has not yet been disclosed. Moiseev only noted that the asset is "very expensive." Previously, the Prosecutor General's Office estimated Lesta's property transferred to the state at approximately 135 billion rubles.
I hope that we will quickly overcome the legal technicalities and close the deal in September-October.
Lesta became an independent major player after 2022, when Wargaming left Russia and Belarus. The Russian division continued to develop familiar games under the names "Mir Tankov" and "Mir Korabely".
In 2025, following a lawsuit by the Prosecutor General's Office, the company's main assets were converted into state revenue. The court also recognized former executives Malik Khatazhaev and Viktor Kisly as participants in a prohibited extremist organization. The grounds included, in particular, the Prosecutor General's Office's arguments about financing Ukraine.
Despite the change of ownership, the gaming business continues to operate and generate revenue. The revenue of OOO "Lesta Games Agency" for 2025 increased by 17% and exceeded 29 billion rubles, while net profit amounted to about 10 billion rubles.
Experts consider the asset attractive precisely for this reason: the company already has a large audience, recognizable games, and stable revenue. Who will become the new owner of Lesta has not yet been disclosed – the Ministry of Finance only speaks of a specific interested investor.
