Russian reconnaissance UAVs "Knyaz Veshchy Oleg" and Supercam S350 have been equipped with net launchers for protection against interceptor drones. When an attacking drone approaches from the rear hemisphere, the reconnaissance aircraft releases a net, which is intended to disrupt the attack.

The net is deployed when the interceptor approaches the reconnaissance UAV at a short distance. It is assumed that it should entangle the propellers of the attacking aircraft, confuse them, and disrupt the interception. Meanwhile, the reconnaissance drones continue their flight.

"Knyaz Veshchy Oleg" is a fixed-wing reconnaissance UAV. According to published specifications, its wingspan is 2.8 m, maximum takeoff weight is 11 kg, flight duration reaches 3.5 hours, and maximum speed is 130 km/h. The aircraft is equipped with stabilized optics with a wide-angle Full HD camera and 10x optical zoom.

For the Supercam S350, the net launcher also provides an additional layer of protection against interception. Previously, other solutions were used to combat approaching UAVs: for example, the modernized SKAT 350M was equipped with additional cameras that allow detecting the approach of interceptor drones and performing evasive maneuvers.
