The Izhevsk Mechanical Plant (part of the Kalashnikov Concern) has unveiled an updated version of the MP-60S-02 pneumatic rifle. The model is designed for aspiring athletes and recreational shooters.

The main difference of the new product is a diopter sight, which doubles the aiming line, allowing shooters to demonstrate higher results. Like the previous version, the rifle is equipped with a side cocking lever that does not require much effort to reload. This makes it convenient for shooting both standing and prone. The adjustable stock length allows the weapon to be adapted to the athlete's height.

The forend and stock of the new version are painted in classic black, bright blue, and olive colors. The muzzle energy of the rifle is up to 3 J, which allows it to be freely acquired by a wide range of people. The first batch consisted of 275 units, and production is planned to increase further.

The plant emphasized that the improved model was a response to the request of children's and youth sports schools that regularly come to Izhevsk for the "Young Shooter" competitions. According to them, the new modification will allow the rifle to once again become a favorite for initial shooting training and will be in demand among fans of training and recreational shooting.
