The Russian "Legioner G29s" UAV has received an Arctic version, capable of performing ice reconnaissance and monitoring remote areas of the Arctic. The Kalashnikov Concern will present the device at the "Arctic-Regions" forum in Arkhangelsk.

The UAV can fly up to 550 km and stay in the air for more than 5 hours. It can be used for remote sensing, aerial monitoring, ice reconnaissance, and delivery of small cargo.

The "Legioner G29s" is designed not only for relatively comfortable Arctic weather. It can operate at temperatures from -25 to +35 °C and winds up to 15 m/s. The payload reaches 4 kg, and preparing the device for launch takes about 15 minutes.

The developers have separately adapted the power plant. A version with a gasoline cruising engine will be offered for northern customers.
