Russian specialists have developed a lightweight all-season camouflage cloak "Phantom" to reduce the visibility of military personnel in thermal imaging and visible ranges. This was reported by the manufacturing company "Zavoz.pro".

The cloak is designed to protect a person from detection by aerial reconnaissance means equipped with thermal imaging cameras, night vision devices, and conventional optics.

The suit reduces thermal contrast without a pronounced cold spot (a local area on a thermogram that appears as an area with a lower temperature compared to the surrounding environment) and provides camouflage day and night.

During daylight hours, the outer layer of the "Phantom" helps the fighter hide in foliage. And at night, the material of the cloak reduces the likelihood of glare when the enemy uses night vision devices.

Characteristics of the "Phantom" camouflage cloak:

  • Compact when folded
  • Versatility
  • All-season
  • Weight – 900 g

The camouflage screens infrared thermal radiation in the MWIR 3–5 µm and LWIR 8–14 µm ranges. The "Phantom" can be worn over clothing sizes 58–62.
