A new garbage truck on a KAMAZ K5 generation chassis has for the first time entered real routes for solid municipal waste collection in the Moscow region. The test operation of the vehicle is being conducted by the EcoLife company – the tests will last about a month.

The vehicle received an 18 cubic meter body and a continuous compaction system, which provides a compaction ratio of up to 7. The design also includes a receiving hopper made of wear-resistant steel, side lighting for operation in the dark, and a pneumatic driver's seat.

During the tests, EcoLife specialists will check how convenient the vehicle is for working in densely built-up courtyards, how it handles waste compaction, and how it withstands intensive daily operation.

Based on the test results, the company will submit comments and suggestions on the design to the manufacturer. The data obtained is planned to be used to refine the vehicle before its serial production.
