First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov stated the need to accelerate the serial production of interceptor drones. He announced this on July 17 at a specialized session dedicated to the development of this area. According to him, the unification of components and optimization of production processes will help increase the efficiency of manufacturing such systems.

According to Manturov, today it is necessary to define unified requirements for interceptor UAVs designed to combat medium- and long-range drones. This will allow for the mass production of various modifications with different application scenarios, while simultaneously reducing production costs through the unification of main components.

The First Deputy Prime Minister noted that the devices have already proven their effectiveness in intercepting FPV drones and other UAVs. Another important advantage he mentioned was their relatively low cost, which allows them to be used instead of more expensive means of destruction against small aerial targets.

In addition, Manturov emphasized the need for further development of interaction between interceptor drones and detection, targeting, and control systems. In his estimation, active technological competition continues in this area, so Russian developers need to constantly stay ahead of new challenges.
