Rosmorport announced an electronic auction for the dry dock repair of the linear diesel-electric icebreaker "Kapitan Sorokin", built at a shipyard in Helsinki in 1977. The contract value is 150 million rubles, according to the materials of the Unified Information System in the field of procurement.

Applications for participation in the tender are accepted until August 3, and the results will be announced on August 10, 2026. The winner of the auction must complete the repair no later than October 1, 2026.

The icebreaker joined Rosmorport in 1977. In the 1990s, the vessel underwent modernization at a German shipyard, where its bow shape was changed.

Currently, "Kapitan Sorokin" is registered at the port of St. Petersburg. It is used for escorting vessels in the Gulf of Finland.
