Rostec produces up to 550 industrial robots per year, and by 2030, it plans to increase production to 6,000 robots. This was stated by Sergey Chemezov, CEO of the state corporation, at a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
Where Rostec robots are used:
- welding operations
- machine tool maintenance
- applying glue and sealant to parts
- assembly
- stacking
- quality control
The operator controls the automated systems, configures and repairs them. The localization of Rostec robots is about 75%, Chemezov emphasized.
We develop the robot design ourselves — 8 patents have already been registered. We build our own electronics and software.
The state corporation has manufactured 100 robots of its own design. By the end of 2026, another 300 units are planned for production, Chemezov added.
They are mainly sent to enterprises within the Rostec perimeter. Several robots were transferred to RZD and "Gruppa GAZ" for approbation. The top manager expressed confidence that based on the results of operation, these companies will place orders for new industrial machines.
