A passenger electric catamaran was launched in the Yamno river port of the Brest region. The vessel will undergo trials, the regional executive committee's press service reported.

The prototype boat was developed at the ZAO "MAZ-MAN" plant. If testing is successful, serial production of the vessels is planned to be launched at the Pinsk Shipbuilding Plant. This is the only full-cycle enterprise in Belarus.

The joint German-Belarusian enterprise "MAZ-MAN" was established in 1998. The plant produces more than 50 models of heavy equipment. The core of production consists of tractors, dump trucks, front-end loaders, and all-terrain vehicles. Vessel development will be a new direction.
