The Serbian military presented an updated version of the MiG-29SM+ fighter, which received an expanded set of armaments and modern systems from various manufacturers. The modernization work was carried out by the Serbian side, combining Russian weapons, Chinese missiles, and a French defense complex in one project.
The modernized MiG-29SM+ has become a multi-role combat platform with significantly expanded application capabilities. The aircraft is capable of using almost the entire range of Russian air-launched weapons, including guided munitions, as well as Chinese CM-400AKG missiles. In addition, the aircraft is equipped with a French onboard defense complex, new universal pylons, and modern glide bombs.
As a result of the modernization, the MiG-29SM+ has gained a significantly wider range of combat capabilities compared to previous versions. The update allows for the use of various types of weapons and makes the aircraft a versatile platform for performing various combat missions.
