Trial operation of the Layavozhskoye oil and gas condensate field in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug will begin in 2026. The project is being implemented by Layavozhneftegaz, a joint venture between Gazprom and Lukoil. Work on creating production infrastructure continues at the site.
Governor of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug Irina Gekht reported that the Layavozhskoye and Vaneivisskoye fields remain among the region's key new projects. According to her, active development continues at the facilities, and the launch of trial operation of the Layavozhskoye field will open the next stage related to oil production and preparation.
Layavozhneftegaz is developing both fields as part of a single subsoil area of federal significance, located east of Naryan-Mar. The total recoverable reserves of liquid hydrocarbons are estimated at 27.4 million tons, and natural gas at 225.3 billion cubic meters.
After the project reaches the industrial stage, an increase in export potential, the creation of over a thousand new jobs, and annual revenues to the budget of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug of more than 5 billion rubles are expected.
