Russia plans to create a new digital platform for courts to replace the GAS "Pravosudie". Previously, its system was developed as the basis for a unified information space for the judicial system, but now the Supreme Court considers it technically outdated.
Sergey Besschasny, Deputy Director General of the Judicial Department at the Supreme Court, stated that the system is technically and morally outdated. According to him, Russian courts need a centralized platform that does not depend on foreign technologies.
The new system should operate on the principle of a single window and cloud technologies. The task is to connect elements of the judicial system, create a unified information space, and collect accounting data in one repository.
Currently, a new concept is being prepared for the digital transformation of the judicial system.
GAS "Pravosudie" is a large distributed state information system. It was created for a unified information space for courts of general jurisdiction and the system of the Judicial Department at the Supreme Court of Russia.
The system includes 27 subsystems, about 3 thousand automation objects, and more than 110 thousand automated workstations.
According to Sergey Besschasny, the automated system "Pravosudie" was created 15 years ago using foreign software and technical solutions. This software is no longer supported by developers in Russia.
