"Kalashnikov" created a high-tech chrome plating line for barrels for industrial production

The concern's machine tool building is reaching a new level of serial platforms

In Izhevsk, the development of a high-tech complex for high-speed chrome plating of barrel blanks, intended for industrial production of "pipe" type parts, has been completed. The equipment was created by the Kalashnikov Concern according to the customer's technical specifications and is focused on producing full-fledged technological lines for large-scale tasks. The shipment of the complex is planned by the end of 2026.

Engineers assembled a modular line that combines key stages of electrochemical processing: high-speed chrome plating of the internal channel of products, dechroming operations, straightening, dehydrogenation in a furnace, as well as auxiliary processes such as lead plating of anodes.

The solution is implemented according to a modular scheme, which simplifies transportation and subsequent assembly at the customer's site, especially for large equipment dimensions.

It is separately noted that the enterprise is strengthening its competencies in creating galvanic complexes for the arms industry and developing the machine tool building direction as a separate technological line. In fact, we are talking not about a single installation, but about a scalable platform designed for reuse in future industrial orders without losing the pace of execution of current contracts.
