A Russian developer has patented an aircraft for rescue operations. The device is designed for extinguishing fires, transporting cargo, and evacuating people.
The design involves using a multicopter with one or more fire extinguishers. They can operate autonomously – triggered by fire sensors or video cameras, including thermal imaging cameras. The device is also equipped with microphones and speakers for communication with victims.
The drone can carry self-rescuers, masks, medicines, water, food, tools, flashlights, communication devices, ropes, clothing, tents, and other equipment. It can operate on batteries or tethered – receiving electricity via wires. It is also equipped with a nozzle for discharging water or fire extinguishing agents supplied from the ground through hoses. The device can evacuate people from upper floors and roofs – both unmanned and with a pilot on board.
The power plant can be purely electric or combined – with an internal combustion engine and an electric generator.
