The United Shipbuilding Corporation (OSK) presented a model of the unique all-terrain air-cushion amphibious ship Project 12061E "Murena-E" at the International Maritime Defense Show "Fleet-2026" in Kronstadt. The landing craft for amphibious operations has been exported to other countries since the 2000s, OSK's press service reported.

The craft is designed to take on board equipment and naval landing forces from equipped and unequipped shores for their subsequent transfer to the combat zone, transport mines, and lay minefields. The ship's crew can also provide fire support using artillery weapons.

The exceptional feature of the Project 1206E "Murena-E" amphibious ship is its ability to move at speeds up to 55 knots on water, swamps, and solid ground.

In addition, the craft can move up slopes and overcome almost vertical obstacles.

The construction of ships for export began in 2003. From 2005 to 2006, Russia transferred three landing craft to South Korea.

OSK emphasized that the export version of the "Murena" is based on "proven domestic ships of Project 12061", which guard maritime borders in the Far East. Amphibious vessels are highly demanded by foreign customers, the corporation concluded.
