The United Shipbuilding Corporation (OSK) has offered potential partners the construction of ships based on more than 60 projects. This was announced by the CEO of the corporation, Andrey Puchkov, on the sidelines of the International Maritime Defense Show "Fleet-2026", which is taking place in Kronstadt.
OSK, together with Rosoboronexport, is actively working to promote competitive Russian projects to the foreign market.
The portfolio of proposals includes projects for ships and boats of all classes. This refers not only to the construction of surface vessels at Russian shipyards but also to beneficial industrial cooperation, Puchkov explained.
The greatest interest among potential customers is generated by projects of ships operated by the Russian Navy, noted the CEO of OSK. According to him, the market is actively changing, and competition is growing.
Traditional exporters are forced to compete for buyers with countries that have mastered the construction of various classes of vessels at their own shipyards, for example, non-nuclear submarines, frigates. These include Japan, the Republic of Korea, and China, Puchkov concluded.
There are about 160 shipbuilding and ship repair enterprises in Russia. The largest of them are located in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, in the Far East, and in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
In early June, the head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov, stated that domestic shipbuilders would deliver 115 civilian vessels to customers by the end of 2026. In St. Petersburg alone, more than 40 ships and vessels for various purposes are being built, including those that will join the Russian Navy in the future.
