The Ministry of Digital Development and Roskomnadzor have appealed to law enforcement agencies to support the unblocking of the Roblox online gaming platform. As reported by the ministry's press service, at the beginning of June, an agreement was reached with the corporation on conditions for protecting Russian users. The platform acknowledged the inefficiency of previous filtering technologies, which led to the spread of suicidal behavior propaganda, drugs, and materials involving minors in illegal activities.

As a technical solution, Roblox will launch an access restriction mechanism by age groups – Roblox Kids and Roblox Select – starting from June 2026. In addition, the company guaranteed to combat the spread of content harmful to the health and development of children. According to the developer, the platform's daily active audience exceeds 150 million users worldwide.

Roblox was blocked in Russia on December 3, 2025, for the systematic dissemination of extremist materials. In fact, the blocking became a tool to compel the global platform to dialogue, and the company's guarantees are the result of this dialogue. Now the fate of the service in the Russian Federation depends on the decision of law enforcement agencies.
