Foreign sources report the possible appearance of an updated version of the 3M14 Kalibr cruise missiles, which may be equipped with a cluster warhead. It is separately noted that the new warhead configuration can expand the missile's functionality by hitting multiple targets over an area, but there is no official confirmation of this information.
Also, according to foreign analysts, there are signs of possible unification of a number of key components of the Kalibr missile with other Russian missile systems. In particular, this refers to flight control systems, elements of the tail unit, satellite navigation, and the onboard digital computing system.
Similar technological solutions can also be applied in the Iskander-K missile system. Additionally, it is indicated that individual electronic units may coincide with components used in Oniks anti-ship missiles.
Earlier, "Perviy Tekhnicheskiy" reported that foreign military analysts officially recognized the Russian Iskander operational-tactical missile system as an extremely difficult target for existing Western air defense systems.
