The Government of Irkutsk Oblast and the Rostec State Corporation have updated their cooperation agreement. The document aims to increase the serial production of the MS-21-310 medium-haul aircraft.
Governor Igor Kobzev noted that the agreement effectively consolidates the further development of cooperation around the Irkutsk Aviation Plant.
Special attention is paid to the training of qualified personnel.
The IAZ itself has also begun to restructure production to improve efficiency. The enterprise has revised the operation of the purchased component parts system – their issuance has been reduced to 30 minutes from 84 hours.
The head of Rosaviatsiya, Dmitry Yadrov, clarified that the MS-21 has completed only 30% of the flight test program. When exactly they will end is unknown, but serial production is planned to begin in 2027.
