At the "BelAgro" exhibition, the premiere of the new MMZ-14D6 turbodiesel with a working volume of 14.2 liters took place. The engine was developed by the Minsk Motor Plant, which plans to use the novelty in agricultural and road machinery.
Depending on the version, its power ranges from 450 to 550 hp, which allows the engine to be used on various types of machines requiring high traction and long-term operation under load.
Currently, the production of MMZ-14D6 is organized using experimental industrial technology. At this stage, the enterprise continues to refine the design and prepare for possible expansion of production.
The appearance of its own diesel engine of this class expands the capabilities of Belarusian heavy machinery manufacturers. Previously, in this segment, enterprises often depended on imported power units, so the launch of a new project can strengthen the positions of local machine builders and increase the level of localization of equipment.
