The crews of the "Sokol-I" aircraft-type interceptor drone of the "Center" group of forces of the Russian Armed Forces are destroying "Leleka" reconnaissance drones and "Blyskavka" attack drones, as well as Hornet. Thus, the soldiers reduce the enemy's ability to aim and adjust fire. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defence.
"Sokol-I" is a light drone, the body of which is made of foam plastic. It is launched directly from the hand in just a few seconds.
The interceptor is characterized by high speed and maneuverability. It hits detected targets by ramming or detonating a warhead.
"Sokol-I" was developed by specialists of the Ryazan KBP "Polet". The drone is equipped with a camera that transmits high-resolution video. The warhead is a hand grenade. The UAV flies at a speed of up to 150 km/h and can climb to an altitude of up to 5 km.
