The Kalashnikov Concern for the first time demonstrated to journalists the newest guided tactical munition KUB-10ME. The product, with a flight range exceeding 100 kilometers, was created in record time, taking into account combat experience.
The fundamental difference of the new product from its predecessors is the optoelectronic guidance system. It allows hitting not only stationary but also moving targets. In addition, the munition received increased resistance to electronic warfare and air defense systems. The KUB-10ME is equipped with an aerial photo and video recording system with onboard information storage.
The munition is capable of solving a wide range of tactical tasks: destroying unarmored and lightly armored vehicles, armored personnel carriers, elements of command posts, and anti-aircraft missile systems. The list of targets also includes air defense and electronic warfare objects, radio technical reconnaissance, drone launch positions, as well as aircraft and helicopters at open basing sites.
The KUB-10ME can operate in an altitude range from 80 to 1800 meters with a cruising speed of 120 km/h. The weapon is used day and night, in simple and complex weather conditions, with wind gusts up to 10 m/s and in a temperature range from –30 to +40 degrees Celsius. Alan Lushnikov, CEO of the concern, noted that the product was developed based on the results of work in the theater of military operations, and it meets the most current customer requirements.
