Russia plans to build an 18 MW icebreaker based on projects 21900M and 21900M2

Rosmorport is looking for a contractor to develop preliminary design documentation for 32 million rubles

Rosmorport has announced an electronic auction for the development of a preliminary design (initial design stage) for an 18 MW icebreaker based on Project 21900M and 21900M2 vessels, as well as an expert review of the justification for the estimated cost of vessel construction. This is confirmed by data from the Unified Information System "Zakupki".

The contract value is about 32 million rubles. Applications for participation in the tender can be submitted until June 15, 2026.

According to the auction materials, the contractor needs to develop a preliminary design for an icebreaker that uses fuel oil as its main fuel. Rosmorport will provide the contractor with design documentation for Project 21900M vessels and the preliminary design for 21900M2.

The icebreaker must comply with the requirements for the production of Russian industrial products (Government Decree No. 719 of 17.07.2015).
