Hero of Russia Sergey Bogdan: the stability and controllability characteristics of the Su-57D fully correspond to the single-seat aircraft

Chief test pilot of Sukhoi Design Bureau, Hero of Russia Sergey Bogdan commented on the first flight of the two-seat version of the Su-57D and refuted claims about the alleged deterioration of the aircraft's controllability. His words were quoted by the OAK press service.

The flight lasted about 40 minutes. Our task was standard. This flight confirmed that the stability and controllability characteristics fully correspond to the single-seat aircraft. Therefore, it is not possible to highlight any specific features.

According to Bogdan, the aircraft retained the characteristics of the basic Su-57 version, and all systems operated normally during testing.

Just as the single-seat aircraft was a combat aircraft, it showed the same characteristics. In general, all systems worked normally, there were no abnormal situations.
