The largest unmanned helicopter in the CIS, Sky-Truck, will undergo high-temperature flight and ground tests in desert conditions in the summer of 2026. This was announced by the Belarusian design bureau "Bespilotnye Vertolety".
The design bureau stated that they continue to improve the helicopter. During the tests, engineers will check the Sky-Truck's operation in a sandstorm under extreme temperature conditions.
Special attention will be paid to checking the heating systems, sealing of electronics and power units, as well as their resistance to dust contamination.
The founder of the bureau, Vladimir Chudakov, said that the unmanned helicopter is at a high stage of technical readiness. Previous tests confirmed the high reliability of the systems to vibrations and temperature fluctuations.
Sky-Truck characteristics:
- Coaxial scheme
- Maximum take-off weight — 2350 kg
- Flight duration — 4 h.
- Cruising speed — 160 km/h
- Flight range — 480 km
- Payload mass — up to 600 kg
The unmanned helicopter will be assembled with the support of Russian specialists. This refers to Russian-made components and parts, including the gearbox.
