Russian KamAZ received a super-high-rate-of-fire anti-drone system

The system with four GSHG machine guns delivers up to 24 thousand rounds per minute

An unusual anti-aircraft gun based on the KamAZ-4385 armored vehicle was spotted as part of a mobile fire group of the Russian military. A photo of the vehicle was published by the Telegram channel "Osvedomitel".

An automated system with four GSHG-7.62 aircraft machine guns was placed in the body. Each of them is capable of developing a rate of fire of up to 6000 rounds per minute. The total density of fire can reach 24 thousand rounds per minute.

Such a scheme creates an extremely dense cloud of fire and is primarily intended to combat small-sized drones, including FPV drones.

GSHG-7.62 machine guns were originally developed for aviation and are characterized by a very high rate of fire. The vehicle also received an optoelectronic station. Judging by the design, the complex may include a thermal imager and a laser rangefinder for detecting and tracking targets.
