Last autumn, the head of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar, stated that the development of the Be-200 with PD-8 would begin in 2026. For almost six months, not a single frame of flight tests has leaked online.

The developer and manufacturer of the Be-200 is the Taganrog Aviation Scientific and Technical Complex named after G.M. Beriev (TANTK). At the end of 2025, the enterprise incurred a net loss of more than 5 billion rubles.

Exports collapsed by 78%, but the enterprise intends to continue its financial and economic activities.

Earlier on May 14, ODK reported on the completion of all PD-8 certification tests.
