Rostec has created a new high-precision rotary table for machine tools, which will replace foreign units in equipment for the production of Ansat and Ka-226T helicopters. The development was carried out by specialists from NPO "Stankostroenie" of the STAN holding in Sterlitamak.
A key feature of the project was the replacement of the German HEMA pneumatic brake with a hydraulic mechanism of their own design.
Mikhail Isupov, Managing Director of NPO "Stankostroenie", noted that engineers developed a new ring-type braking mechanism based on a special friction material. The design should increase the rigidity and accuracy of the rotary unit.
The project was implemented as part of the import substitution program; the percentage of domestic parts in the new unit was more than 60%.
Rostec added that the equipment provides processing accuracy in the micron range. This allows the system to be used in the production of highly loaded aviation parts.
