MTS has launched a new service, "Smart Cash," which allows customers to get back a portion of the cost of a smartphone or other tech, even after it breaks down. The money is transferred directly to a bank card.
The service operates on a buyback model. If the device is returned within the first 181 days after purchase, the customer can receive up to 70% of its original cost. After this period and until the end of the program, the payout will be 50%.
MTS notes that not only fully functional gadgets can be returned, but also devices after falls, water damage, electrical damage, or other impairments.
You can connect to "Smart Cash" when purchasing Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, Honor, Huawei, and other brands of smartphones in MTS stores. The program also applies to tablets, TVs, home appliances, and portable electronics.
To receive a payout, you need to submit an application through the contact center, hand over the device to a courier, and await a decision. The company states that the review process takes up to 15 business days after document submission.
MTS emphasizes that, unlike classic trade-in, users receive not a discount on a new gadget, but real money on their card, which they can use at their discretion.
