Telecommunication operators have warned Moscow residents about possible mobile internet restrictions during the period up to and including May 9. In a Rostelecom notification, subscribers were advised to connect to Wi-Fi if possible.
Earlier, MTS and T2 also reported temporary restrictions.
The restrictions are being introduced amid preparations and conduct of festive events in Moscow. The measures may affect not only the capital but also the Moscow region.
In practice, this may lead to unstable mobile internet and online service operation outside Wi-Fi coverage areas.
