The Atommash plant has completed the production of the last set of primary circuit equipment for the fourth power unit of the Akkuyu NPP in Turkey. This includes steam generators and reactor internals, which are part of the plant's nuclear steam supply system.
The equipment was manufactured by the Rosatom Machine-Building Division enterprise in the Rostov region.
For all four power units of the plant, Russian specialists produced four VVER-1200 Generation 3+ reactor vessels and 16 steam generators – four for each unit. The total weight of the equipment for the reactor halls exceeded 7 thousand tons.
The first large components for the Akkuyu NPP were sent to the construction site back in 2020. Currently, preparations for the cold and hot run-in of equipment, one of the key stages before commissioning, are continuing at the first power unit.
