Designers are improving the fifth-generation multirole fighter Su-57E by equipping it with artificial intelligence (AI) systems. This was stated by an official representative of Rosoboroneksport on the sidelines of the Defence Services Asia (DSA) exhibition in Malaysia.
The Sukhoi Design Bureau is carrying out continuous work to improve the technical profile of the Su-57E fighter in terms of equipping it with modern onboard systems, including outfitting the aircraft with AI elements.
According to him, AI elements provide the aircraft with "high automation and intellectualization". The neural network can give the pilot a prompt in a complex tactical situation. It will be available via an audio channel and in visual format — displayed on the fighter's screen, the Rosoboroneksport representative explained.
With this in mind, the pilot will be able to make rational decisions. Thus, the Su-57E confirms its characteristics as an advanced aviation platform, he concluded.
The Su-57E is the main exhibit at the Rosoboroneksport stand at the exhibition in Malaysia. Earlier, Aleksandr Mikheev, Director General of the special exporter, stated that Russia is ready to supply its newest fighters only to reliable partners.
