Car painting at UAZ has become more technological. The plant has completed the modernization of the final body painting section for UAZ SUVs and Sollers pickups. Now the entire process — from inspection to polishing — is synchronized and fits into one working shift.
The company has launched a second polishing line with an automatic conveyor and a body distribution system. This made it possible to organize the processes so that inspection and polishing are in the same rhythm as the main production line.
The new equipment operates in two modes: polishing and body accumulation warehouse. Switching between them takes only a few seconds.
The plant has also automated the distribution of Sollers bodies before applying a protective coating — polycarbamide. Previously, this step was performed manually.
