"Alice AI" to be trained on Roscosmos photo archives: "Yandex" received photos of cosmonauts

New data should improve the accuracy and realism of images

Yandex and Roscosmos have agreed on cooperation: the space agency has transferred an archive of more than 10 thousand official portraits of Russian cosmonauts to the company. This data will be used to train the Alice AI ART image generation model, which underlies Alice AI and the Shedevrum application.

The archive will become part of the expansion of the model's training base. Currently, the neural network is already trained on an array of almost 1 billion "picture - description" pairs.

Yandex focuses on the local context: the dataset includes images and descriptions that reflect the peculiarities of the Russian language and culture. This should improve the quality of generation and the accuracy of understanding user requests.

The transfer of the archive is timed to coincide with Space Week - it is held in Russia in honor of the 65th anniversary of the first human flight into space.
