S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft systems placed on lattice towers will be able to effectively resist RBS-15 missiles.

A new threat may appear before the Russian military — RBS-15 multi-purpose tactical missiles on mobile launchers. The most effective way to counter them may be S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft systems, but with a slight modernization, the Telegram channel "Russian weapons" reported.

The authors of the channel noted that for the timely detection and interception of the mentioned missiles, the S-400 air defense system should have universal 40V6MD towers to increase the range of the radio horizon of targets captured by 92N6 radars to 43–50 km.

A similar situation exists with towers for the 9S36M RPN of the Buk-M3 military air defense system, they added.

The RBS-15 missile carries a warhead weighing about 200 kg and is guided to the target via GPS and an active radar homing head.

In the RBS-15 Mk3 version, the range is 200 km, and in the latest version, the RBS-15 Mk4 Gungnir, it is already more than 300 km with the ability to hit ground targets, which makes it virtually a cruise missile.
