Russian SKAT 350 M reconnaissance drones are now completely invulnerable to electronic warfare (EW) and spoofing, according to the Kalashnikov Concern. The drones continue their flight mission according to the loaded maps even during spoofing.
Alexander Likhachev, Director of the UAV and UBB Division of the Kalashnikov Concern, explained that during GPS spoofing, a false satellite signal is transmitted, causing the UAV's navigation equipment to display an incorrect location.
The SKAT 350 M optical navigation system developed by the concern allows to continue performing the flight mission, no matter what, even in conditions of strong distortion of GPS signals and continuous spoofing attacks.
The new system has already been tested and has proven its high efficiency. "Kalashnikov" recently also presented a sample SKAT 350 M with a unique HD camera of the infrared spectrum with a night vision module.
