The Ministry of Health of the Ryazan Region, together with the NPC "Protos", conducted tests on the delivery of medicines by drones to settlements that may be cut off from the mainland during the spring flood. This is part of the preparation for the 2026 flood season.
The task was not just to get the drone into the air, but to work out the entire logistics chain - from the receipt of the application to the receipt of medicines by the paramedic on the opposite bank. The tests were successful.
The Protos Scientific and Production Center was established in the Ryazan Region in June 2024 as part of the national project "Unmanned Aviation Systems". The founder of the center is the regional Ministry of Economic Development. "Protos" operates on the principle of a "single window", combining design, testing, production and certification of UAS. To date, the center already has 51 residents, the total area of infrastructure is 2650 m² with plans to expand to 10,000 m² by 2030. One of the key areas of the center's work is air logistics: the use of drones to deliver goods to remote areas.
