Specialists of the Central Research Institute for Precision Machine Engineering (JSC "TsNIITOCHMASH", part of the "Kalashnikov" concern) will put a centerless grinding machine into operation. It will be installed in the production workshop as part of the modernization program, the concern's press service reported.
The head of the workshop, Evgeny Filmanovich, said that the use of a centerless grinding machine is necessary due to the technological features of manufacturing a number of components. The equipment is used to work with products that do not have center holes. It is also used to process long parts of small diameter.
The device has two grinding wheels, each of which is driven by its own electric motor.
The centerless grinding machine will ensure the accuracy of grinding metal blanks and reduce the time for checking parts. The plant management expects that the new equipment will increase the productivity of the workshop and improve the quality of products.
TsNIITOCHMASH is a developer and manufacturer of small arms, including SR1MP "Gyurza" pistols, SR2M "Veresk" submachine guns. The Research Institute also produces cartridges of various calibers, "Ratnik" combat equipment and protective equipment.
