EAS Group, owned by former Red Wings airline CEO Evgeny Solodilin, has become the new owner of three companies that previously belonged to the Volga-Dnepr group. The changes were entered into the Unified State Register of Legal Entities on January 11.
Under the control of EAS Group are now Volga — Dnepr — Moscow, AirBridgeCargo, and Atran.
Media reported on Solodilin's intentions to buy out the entire cargo group Volga — Dnepr back in September 2025.
Aviation expert Oleg Panteleev noted that the group's value was determined by its leading position in the global market for transporting unique cargo, but due to sanctions this factor was neutralized.
However, Volga-Dnepr still has spare parts, an experienced team, and a fleet of aircraft. The group's official website states that it includes An-124 Ruslan and Il-76 transport aircraft.
It should be noted that no new Ruslan transport aircraft are built in Russia anymore. Panteleev explained to Pervomu tekhnicheskomu that resuming production of 50-year-old aircraft is an pointless venture.
