At the Akkuyu nuclear power plant site in Turkey, the turbogenerator stator was lifted and installed in the pre-design position. The operation was carried out in the machine hall of the second power unit.
The stator is one of the heaviest equipment components. Its weight is 437 tons, its length is 12 meters, and its diameter is 4.2 meters. The installation was carried out using specialized rigging and hydraulic systems.
Before installing the stator, the floor of the machine hall's zero elevation was reinforced, temporary support structures were installed, and a special rail track was installed to transport the stator. The lifting to the turbine elevation (18.5 meters above ground level) was carried out without a crane, using a hydraulic rigging system. This technology was used during the installation of the stator in the machine hall of Akkuyu NPP Unit 1.
Thus, in the machine hall of the unit, we are gradually moving from construction work to the installation of turbogenerator components, providing the necessary groundwork for further installation and commissioning works.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the readiness of the first power unit of Akkuyu NPP is 95%.
