The enterprise of Rosatom's Mining Division has completed the installation and commissioning of the first mobile sorption unit (MSU) at the Verkhne-Uksyanskoye deposit of the Dalmatovskoye uranium deposit in the Kurgan Region. The new unit is specifically designed to operate in hard-to-reach and remote areas of deposits where the construction of stationary facilities is considered economically impractical.
The MSU is a modular complex housed in transportable containers. It includes sorption columns, tanks for solutions and sorbent, an operator's cabin, and its own electrical substation. This arrangement allows the unit to be quickly relocated from one mining site to another, reducing the time for deployment and start-up of the technological process.
According to experts, the key advantages of the new system are its high mobility, speed of commissioning, and significant reduction in capital costs compared to traditional stationary infrastructure. This solution is particularly relevant for pilot-scale operations or the development of small deposits.
