In Moscow in 2025, almost 22 thousand cars repeatedly returned to impound lots. This refers to drivers who regularly ignored stopping and parking rules.
According to a report by the Moscow Department of Transport, since the beginning of the year, more than 20 thousand cars have been repeatedly evacuated, some motorists picked up their cars from impound lots 6-8 times.
Motorists who leave their cars in the wrong places endanger all road users, so their vehicles are moved to special parking lots. Some drivers repeatedly violate parking rules, and each time they need to pay not only fines, but also for the evacuation of cars.
The majority of drivers who ignored the rules applied for their car to the impound lot 2-3 times: 20.5 thousand such cases were recorded. More persistent violators were recorded less frequently, so the same car was moved to the impound lot 4-5 times (1.2 thousand cases) and even 6-7 times (61 cases). The absolute record holder was a motorist in a Skoda, who ended up in the impound lot 8 times this year.
