Темпы производства МС-21 в Иркутске упрутся в выпуск ПД-14: нужно выпускать 40 двигателей в год

Aviation expert Velichko: no one will answer the question of when MC-21s will start being built by the dozens per year

It is difficult to say exactly when the new medium-range aircraft MC-21-310 will reach production rates of up to 20 units per year, since it is necessary to simultaneously deploy the production of a sufficient number of PD-14 engines. This was reported to "Perviy Technicheskiy" by aviation expert, editor-in-chief of the "Aviation of Russia" portal, Andrey Velichko.

He noted that a large-scale modernization of production is underway at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant. New workshops are appearing there, new equipment and processing centers are being purchased. Currently, there is a certain backlog at the plant, but it is difficult to say exactly what it is.

In parallel with this, Velichko noted, it is necessary to solve the problem of increasing the production of PD-14 engines at the facilities of "ODK-Perm Engines".

Alexander Inozemtsev [Deputy General Director of the United Engine Corporation – ed. note] said at one of the forums that in order to reach the planned indicators and ensure initial production, say, 15-20 machines per year, they need to produce about 40 engines per year.

Velichko added that it is necessary to deploy the production of the required number of engines, including replacement engines. When exactly aircraft will start being produced by the dozens at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant, no one will answer, Velichko summarized.

In October, it became known that the Ulyanovsk enterprise "Interstankoservis" notified of its intention to file an application to declare the manufacturer of aircraft engines - "ODK-Perm Engines" bankrupt.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that "Yakovlev" is capable of producing up to 36 MC-21 aircraft per year in the future.
