Россия полностью переходит на импортозамещённые самолёты: опередила Запад

Partnership with Foreigners Didn't Work Out

Russia is completing the transition to fully import-substituted production of civil aviation, according to Sergey Chemezov, head of the Rostec State Corporation, at the Dubai Airshow 2025. All key components: engines, avionics, wings — are now domestic.

As an example, he cited the MC-21 medium-range aircraft — it is equipped with Russian engines, avionics, and wings.

All of this happened in just a few years. I can say the same about Superjet: the certification of a fully import-substituted aircraft with our own engine and avionics is now coming to an end. In general, the kit is completely ours.

Chemezov added that Russia initially planned to work with foreign partners, but it didn't work out.

Today, we are transitioning to the production of fully import-substituted civil aviation.

Chemezov emphasized that Russia is "running the distance" in creating aircraft faster than Western competitors. Serial production of MC-21, SJ-100, and Il-114 is scheduled for 2026.

Also, the updated Comprehensive Program for the Development of the Civil Aviation Industry until 2030 will continue to receive state support, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov confirmed.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that additive technologies have been implemented in all PD-8, PD-14, and PD-35 engines.
