Russian military personnel created a makeshift thermal imager from parts of trophy FPV drones and destroyed seven drones with its help. This was reported by the senior operator of anti-tank guided missiles with the call sign Krasavchik.
According to him, the idea came about quite by accident, during tea drinking with a comrade. The soldiers did not have a thermal imager on the turret, so they decided to make it from improvised parts.
It is made from parts from drones - trophy FPV drones that we received when we were performing a combat mission. We managed to shoot down about seven drones with its help.
Krasavchik clarified that the thermal imager allows detecting aerial targets at a distance of up to 600-700 m and transmits the image to the operator's goggles.
