Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergei Ryzhikov, Alexei Zubritsky, and Oleg Platonov congratulated Russians on National Unity Day from the International Space Station.
National Unity Day is dedicated to the main values uniting all the peoples of Russia. Officially, the holiday has been celebrated on November 4 since 2005, in accordance with Federal Law No. 201-FZ of December 29, 2004. This day is also established as the Day of Military Glory of Russia.
Dear compatriots! Friends! We, Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergei Ryzhikov, Alexei Zubrinsky, and Oleg Platonov, wholeheartedly congratulate you on National Unity Day from the International Space Station. This is a holiday for those who sincerely love our Motherland, honor its great history, and actively work for the benefit of Russia, who are ready to defend their country.
Today, this holiday has acquired special significance. Four centuries ago, our ancestors were able to unite against an external enemy and, under the leadership of Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky, defended Russia's right to independence, restored and strengthened the country. With their feat, they showed an example of steadfastness, courage, and unity.
Sincere love for the Fatherland, respect for the memory of ancestors, the desire to be worthy citizens of the state. Only our joint efforts will help overcome any difficulties and achieve greater prosperity and success for Russia. We wish you peace, prosperity, and good health! Happy holiday!
