Partial restrictions in the operation of Telegram and WhatsApp messengers have been recorded in Crimea. This was reported by the press service of the communication operator "Volna" (LLC "KTK Telecom").
The company clarified that the measures to block these applications are being taken by Roskomnadzor, and they affect subscribers of all operators and providers in Russia.
The nature of the restrictions is not disclosed in the operator's message. However, the press service referred to Roskomnadzor's statement of October 22, according to which a partial restriction on the operation of foreign messengers is being introduced "to counter criminals."
The operator "Volna" is one of the local cellular operators working in Crimea.
