Modernized 9K515 "Tornado-S" MLRS systems are now equipped with 9M542 guided rockets capable of hitting targets at long ranges. A key element of this modernization is the new 9B706.01.000 homing and control modules, which include high-precision strapdown inertial navigation systems SN398 and advanced interference-protected units for correction using GLONASS and GPS signals.
Thanks to the integration of these advanced components, the new module provides a circular error probable (CEP) of about 3 meters, which allows for the highly accurate destruction of even small and well-protected enemy targets.
Achieving this level of accuracy was made possible through the use of new trajectory correction algorithms and highly sensitive sensors capable of compensating for external influences in real time.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a convoy transporting Soviet R-17 ballistic missiles was spotted in Afghanistan.
